Inside our 2020 actions
This year, marked by the Covid-19 crisis, has led to an 11% increase in the number of our beneficiaries.
Persevering in our actions
In March 2020, within a few days, the 300 students enrolled in our training centres in France and Senegal shifted to remote learning. In this unprecedented context of global pandemic, the Bioforce team focused first on mitigating the impact on the students. The extraordinary mobilisation of the Bioforce teams and of our trainers allowed us to continue the educational dynamic and avoid the risk of students dropping out. Then they quickly mobilised to contribute with their expertise to an international response to this crisis.
This 2020 Annual Report, which outlines our achievements during a year that has been impacted, like all organisations, by the health crisis. All the energy used in the management of this crisis did not affect our development and innovation efforts in our three response areas: training humanitarian actors, strengthening their organisations and contributing to the structuring of the humanitarian sector. Among other achievements, the launch of an innovative project in CAR alongside a Central African organisation and the publication of the first international study on humanitarian professions.
The covid-19 pandemic has once again shown that national actors on the front line are the key to crisis management. At Bioforce, with your support, we continue our efforts year after year to make it possible for them to develop their skills in the places wherever they operate. This crisis tells us that we must go even faster and further.
We want to thank here our students, our trainers and our partners for the trust they have placed in us.
