Defining humanitarian professions.
As the leading professional training body in the sector, Bioforce has gained recognition in France for the range of humanitarian professions.
Based on guidelines which set out the skills required and the activities involved for each humanitarian profession,
which are reviewed regularly with humanitarian organisations to make sure they take the changing context into consideration. To make sure they remain relevant, the professional guidelines are developed by analysing profiles and job offers made available by key organisations, and with the support of staff in the field and at the headquarters (questionnaires, interviews, steering committee). These guidelines are drawn up in line with the Core Humanitarian Standard Alliance’s Core Humanitarian Competency Framework.
