The Principality of Monaco and Bioforce launch the “Initiatives Sahel” call for projects
The Government of the Principality of Monaco (Department of International Cooperation) and Bioforce Afrique are today launching the “Initiatives-Sahel” call for projects to support civil society initiatives in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Senegal.
A fund for local organisations
The purpose of the Initiatives-Sahel Fund is to support local associations with high-impact projects that meet people’s basic needs and encourage the empowerment of local communities.
Local associations in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Senegal are invited to submit their proposals for projects to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable in key areas such as education and vocational training, child protection, entrepreneurship and employability, food security and health. employability, food security, culture and sport, peace and social cohesion, adaptation to climate change and protection of the environment. climate change and environmental protection. Successful applicants will receive grants of between €15,000 and €30,000 to implement their projects from April 2024.
Applications will open on 25 October 2023 and close on 4 January 2024 at midnight (Dakar time).
